Vendors Unveiled: Winter Sessions

We adore the wedding photography of Pam Cooley, and we were thrilled when she sent us this snowy engagement shoot. There is just something so magical about the light in winter and the way it translates in photos. Not to mention, it looks so fun to be photographed in a puffy, white winter coat and furry boots while having playful snowy moments.

Winter weddings are growing in popularity, but if you already set the date for your spring or summer soiree, then schedule your engagement shoot for a cool, snow-covered month so that your photographer can tell your story through the winter light.

Vendors Unveiled: Printable Press

We love a good story about a creative bride–turned–successful businesswoman. Kimi Weart of Printable Press was that bride and is that businesswoman. What began in March 2009 as a seemingly simple and creative idea has become a thriving family business. Printable press creates gorgeous print-ready stationery designs in a variety of styles and themes.

Once you choose and purchase your design, you are provided with the files and can take them to a professional print shop, use an online printing service, or purchase paper and print your invitations in the comfort of your own home. It is a wonderful way to have beautiful stationery on any budget with a design that looks anything but low end.

Vendors Unveiled: Au Ciel

Serving the New York Metropolitan area, event planner and floral designer, Minno Hersini of Au Ciel strives to provide timeless and original style. She executes the design of an interior with both precise and creative practicality. Not a detail goes unnoticed or is ever overdone. “Flowers are presented as an overwhelming assault on the senses,” reads an excerpt from Au Ciel’s credo and it couldn’t be more true when you attempt to unfold the details of an event planned and executed by Hersini.

In each flower arrangement is a sense of balance, a quiet harmony in tune with the space and reeking of artistic brilliance. Au Ciel’s services have been requested by such celebrities as Vanessa Williams, Glenn Close, Hilary and Bill Clinton, and Meredith Vieira. If anything, take inspiration from Au Ciel’s flawless interpretation of space and design, know what simplicity looks like and stretch it as far as you can. Hersini designs inspire us to see that when the simple becomes fantastically elegant while remaining simple at its core, the results are truly spectacular.
