The land at the mouth of Red Butte Canyon was set aside as an ideal location for this venture. The grand scope of the site – from the cool, streamside oak tunnels to the brilliant mountain meadows – provided an outstanding opportunity to showcase horticultural collections and to interpret the richly diverse area. Today, as Utah’s premier botanical garden, Red Butte Garden is both a showcase and a museum, displaying rich botanical diversity.
