The Question: A Beachside Proposal

Sheeva and Brendan enjoyed a labor day weekend getaway at the Southern Mansion Bed and Breakfast in Cape May, NJ. After a romantic ocean view dinner, Brendan popped the question on the beach.

The Stage: Elegance at Cairnwood Mansion

The couple was instantly charmed by Cairnwood Mansion, “the most beautiful setting they had ever seen.” Hosting both the ceremony and reception, The Mansion made an absolutely stunning backdrop to an event steeped in class and elegance. 

Magic

An unusual heat wave greeted the morning of June 10th – with humid temperatures soaring to 95 degrees amidst stormy conditions. As the day progressed, however, the air cooled as the sun began to peak through the clouds. By the 7:00 pm start time, conditions were perfect for the fairy-tale outdoor ceremony. Sheeva and Brendan reminisce about the sometimes trying times leading up to their relationship and muse that the wedding day followed the same trend.

Perfection

The amazing weather turnaround seemed to foreshadow the tone for the whole evening…flawless. The facility was gorgeous, the caterers exceptional. Everyone looked beautiful. Sheeva’s father’s speech was a hit, triggering much laughter and merriment all around……..pure magic.

Elegance

From beginning to end, Sheeva and Brendan crafted an evening of enchantment. Top priority was tempting cuisine; the couple treated guests to a tantalizing culinary journey – beginning with gourmet seafood hors d’oeuvres and a garden salad display and culminating with a complete dessert room featuring cheesecake-filled martini glasses, dessert liquors and a coffee station. Throughout the evening, three top-shelf liquor bars kept thirsts quenched with an exceptional collection of spirits, décor-matching red champagne and a mojito table beautifully decorated with limes and real sugar cane.

The couple painstakingly ensured that every detail came together to create an atmosphere of opulence:

Oriental hand-fans delicately placed on each ceremony seat awaited guests upon arrival.

Bold floral décor featuring black magic roses made a lasting impression.

Reception tables were elegantly adorned with ivory table linens, crushed satin

Tablecloths and Satin Napkins; Godiva truffles at each table made an elegant finishing touch.

Exquisite menu cards tucked into each napkin tempted guests to the decadent meal ahead.

A stylishly simple square ivory wedding cake decorated with red roses served as the classic centerpiece of the reception.
