At Their Peak

The Bride: Rebecca Rowsey
The Groom: Nick Kilibarda
Wedding Date: September 18, 2010
Venue: Cheyenne Lodge at The Broadmoor

When Rebecca Rowsey’s boyfriend, Nick Kilibarda, flew with her to visit her family for the first time, at their home tucked into the base of Colorado’s Pikes Peak, he found that the stylish and flawlessly put together fashionista he had been dating had a rugged side. She surprised him with trips into the mountains and fly-fishing on Fall River, where she yanked on her waders and rushed to nab the best spot for catching brook trout. It did little to scare him off. Instead it was on that trip that Nick told Rebecca he loved her for the first time. Six years later, the couple’s wedding invitation featured a silhouette of those same mountains to which they returned for their nuptials in September 2010.
Stationery – Local Letterpress
Living on the Seacoast of New Hampshire, Rebecca had the luxury of working in person with Gus & Ruby Letterpress, a stationery and invitation boutique in Portsmouth. The result was first a save-the-date featuring a set of letter pressed antlers, followed by an ivory invitation with the silhouette of Pikes Peak behind navy blue text.
Bridal Gown – Personalized Attire
When Rebecca arrived at L’Elite Bridal in Boston, they happened to be having a Liancarlo Couture trunk show, and the designer was on site. To personalize the sheath lace gown she chose, the designer himself added a delicate beaded belt at the empire waist. She paired the gown with ivory Badgley Mischka peep-toe pumps.

Wedding Flowers – Crimson & Citrus
A bold, fall-inspired color scheme featured deep red and bright orange blooms. Tall, elaborately constructed centerpieces included bittersweet, burgundy dahlias, red roses, and viney maple. Hanging amaranthus and seeded eucalyptus fell around the towering vases filled with calla lilies.

Guest Book – Branching Out
A crystal-draped manzanita branch stood in a square glass vase, acting in lieu of a guest book. Friends and family shared advice and well-wishes on ivory tags, available in their welcome bags or at the reception, which were then hung on the branch.
