Venue: The Chatham Bars Inn (Chatham, MA)
Venue
It wasn’t until a suggestion by Joe’s aunt (who had been a concierge at the Chatham Bars Inn) that the couple landed on this Cape location. “We saw it on a picture-perfect summer day and saw just how breathtaking the views were,” says Ali.

Bridal Attire
When Ali tried on this beaded Pelicano dress by Pronovias, she was swept away with cascading crystals along its neckline and soft pleats. She paired it with a pair of ivory kitten-heel shoes.

Stationery
Like the seagulls on the Chatham Bars Inn’s own logo, Ali incorporated these ocean-worthy birds (Tandem in Flight in navy by The Wedding Paper Divas) on her wedding stationery and handwritten seating cards.
Bridesmaids
Ali chose junior bridesmaids’ dresses with wavy pleating that mimicked the ocean waves and placed the rest of her bridal party in silk chiffon dresses of bright coral.

Favors
To complement invitations dotted with navy seagulls, guests took home heart-shaped birdseed favors to hang at home after the ceremony.
Ceremony Music
Just hearing the traditional Bridal March was not going to cut it, which is why the couple chose string cellists from Yale’s Low Strung group, who played their own version of “Hey Jude” and “Stairway to Heaven.”

Sweetheart Table
For a more intimate feel, the couple chose a sweetheart table and surrounded themselves with 100 of their family and friends during the reception.

Cheers
When it came time to toast, Ali and Joe had their own special bubbly, a bottle of Pannier Brut brought straight France by the groom’s sister, which they sipped from gifted Waterford crystal flutes from Joe’s mother.
Wedding Cake
To match the table décor, the couple accented their simple, white three-tiered cake – two layers of red velvet and white chocolate mousse, and one of golden vanilla with chocolate mousse – with orchids.
