Classic Love Story on the New England Seacoast:

An introduction in the bustling coastal town of Portsmouth, NH gave way to a beachside proposal in Kittery, Maine. The Seacost courtship culminated with a waterfront wedding in Rye, NH.

The Stage:

Tim and Lindsey sought a setting that would reflect their love of the ocean and the Seacoast region. The Wentworth By The Sea Country Club hosted both the outdoor ceremony and reception, the seaside setting appropriately overlooking the scenic Wentworth By The Sea Marina.

With its rolling green grass unfolding into a rocky coastline accented by New Castle Lighthouse in the distance, New Castle Commons proved a worthy backdrop for the post-ceremony bridal party photos, artistically captured by Bill Christo Photography. An open-aired trolley transported the bridal party back to the reception held under a tent in front of the Club House, just a few feet away from the ceremony site.

Hitting Home:

The couple personalized every detail with an air of laid back, beachside elegance. They greeted guests with welcome bags from New England’s own L.L. Bean filled with goodies that represented the local coastal flavor. They even designated their two-year-old Golden Retriever, Bogey, the pivotal role of ring bearer. Bogey, donning the wedding rings around his collar, was escorted down the aisle by Lindsey’s cousin.

A Festive Vibe:

Tim and Lindsey knew that a talented live band was essential in setting the lively, carefree mood to round out their wedding reception. The obvious choice came coincidentally from the same location as their first meeting. They found the Tim Theriault Band playing at Portsmouth’s Gas Light, and their rock and roll repertoire packed the dancefloor throughout Tim and Lindsey’s reception. The highlight of the evening came when Tim and one of his groomsment played base and drums with the band during a rendition of “Louie, Louie.”

Looking Back:

From the seaside setting to the notriously fickle New England weather that cooperated seemingly just for them, every element came together just as Tim and Lindsey had envisioned. But from all the fond memories, one favorite moment shines through. Standing at the altar and locking eyes for the first time, Tim says, “I heald my breath until Lindsey and her father walked out of the tent and down the aisle. Lindsey looked absolutely stunning...she left me speechless.”

It just doesn’t get any better than that.
